HCHA Children's Holiday Party - - Big Thank Yous!

The 2009 Children's Holiday Party was held at the clubhouse on 16 Dec with help from the following wonderful community members: Joe Fisher aka Santa. Decorating elves of Joyce Taylor, Tracy & Matthew Malito & Maureen Gum, Clean-Up Elves Bill Cool, Ed Garrison, Tracy Malito, Maureen, Joyce, Roland Taylor and his son, and Kit O'Connor. The "Pack it all away for another year" elves of Drew Curtiss and Joyce Taylor. The photo Elf - aka Tracy Malito. All those community members who donated books to give away to the kids and the HCHA Board of Directors who allocated a modest amount of $$ and donated the cookies.

We had approximately 25 kids and 20 adults attend the celebration. Each child was able to get their photo taken with Santa and took home a book or two, and their hand decorated Christmas tree ornament.

In the spirit of recycling the BOD was able to find a FREE artificial tree from "Craig's List" that was used (and stored away for next year), used up the last of the juice and water from National Night Out, and properly recycled products from the party.

Our next children's event will be the Easter Egg Hunt & Pinata Party to be held this spring at the Playground - stay tuned!! Volunteers always welcome - Sam Lietz
